I am full of joy and energy, ready for life!

This essential oil packs such a punch that it doesn’t even need a lot of explanation to see how it interacts between the body and mind. One sniff of peppermint and you’re instantly refreshed, awake, and ready to get going.

Benefits for the Body:

This oil has a wide range of uses physically. You can almost instantly increase your energy levels with this quick trick.

  • Take one drop of Peppermint and drop it into your hand.

  • Rub your hands together and take 2-3 slow, deep breaths.

  • Touch one finger to your hand and touch the roof of your mouth.

  • Then rub the remaining oil on your hands onto the back of your neck.

Not only do you feel more awake, alert, and energized, but you’ll also notice your sinuses and airways open up. If your nose is stuffy, grab a tissue. It will be clearing soon! If you have any head or neck tension, over the next few minutes you’ll feel the neck tingling and feeling a mix between an icy cold but warming sensation begin to relax muscles and melt tension. You can also increase blood flow to any area of the body, simply by applying and massaging in peppermint.

Benefits for the Mind:

It’s just plain common sense to see how feeling more energized and less tension in muscles might help you feel, mentally and emotionally. At times when you need more motivation, focus, excitement, confidence, or positivity, try rubbing peppermint on the back of your neck or over your heart.

This oil is nicknamed the “oil of a buoyant heart”. When you’re not in the place to think anymore and processing what you’re feeling is more than you’ve got in you, you can use peppermint like a life raft to pull you up out of the heaviness and get some relief and fresh air. While this might be tempting to do more often than thinking through what’s going on inside, if you find that it’s not working for you, it might just be time to face some things on a deeper level. Your mind and body won’t always let you settle for relief when some emotional work is needed, but peppermint is a great way to get relief when you need it.
